Traditional Use:

Used in the treatment of heart failure, and for common symptoms with it such as fliud retentionn, breathlessness, heart palpitations.

This has not had a cardiac glycoside from it which makes it not useful to replace certain medications for the heart.  Some plants do contain cardiac glycosides such as Digitalis, Oleander  (which is an extremely toxic plant), Strophanthus (another toxic plant.)
